ARTIST STATEMENT

My art reflects my journey to reconnect—an ongoing exploration of identity, systemic disconnection, and healing as an Indigenous person separated from my homelands and tribal community. Through dreaming, remembering, and documenting, I intentionally disrupt spaces, resisting colonization and erasure.

In doing so, I convey that the ancient is not confined to the past but is projected into the future. As a conduit for this memory, my very existence—and anything I create—embodies resistance, serving as a living testament to the resilience and continuity of my ancestors.

In my work, I manifest the symmetry I seek within myself, creating a space where past, present, and future coexist. You, as the witness, are not passive. Your perception is integral because it activates the vitality of my ancestors, bringing them to life in the present moment, beyond the confines of time.
