Made in 2023, in the first month of the genocide against the Palestinian people, as an act of solidarity and a way to find a voice when words failed. Two figures in red share a single face, one sleeping while the other reaches toward a corner of the universe, holding the waking and dreaming states of one being. Their braid is joined into a loop with no beginning or end, so that what one knows passes endlessly to the other. Behind them, a white dove eclipses both the sunrise and the sunset, a reminder that even after the darkest endings a new day comes, and that to keep breathing and dreaming is itself a form of resistance.
Made in collaboration with Artists Against Apartheid, this is a signed limited edition of 10, each print numbered and signed by Julysa Sosa. The print is on archival matte paper at 8 by 10 inches with a 2-inch border, and it ships flat in a rigid mailer, ready to frame.
