Where to Find Me, and Why Each Space Exists

I've been thinking a lot about how people find me and what they actually want when they do. Some of you came for the portraits, some for the studio, some because we met at an opening and stayed in touch. Not everyone wants the same thing from me, and I don't think you should have to follow everything to stay close to the part you care about. So I've given each platform its own job, and this note is a map of what lives where, so you can choose how you'd like to stay connected.

A Note Before the Map

I want to say something plainly first. I don't love "buy now" calls to action on social media. And every time I have opted into it in the past, I have cringed and hated it. So I've decided I'm not going to do it. My social media will not become another stream of ads competing for attention in a space that's already saturated with influencer-style selling. I'm fatigued by it as a viewer, and I suspect many of you are too.

I'm also at a point in my career where I'm no longer creating from survival mode. That shift has given me room to make work without every outcome needing to be transactional or commercial, and I want my online presence to reflect that freedom. The work comes first, and the platforms exist to share it, think out loud, and stay in conversation with the people who care about it.

When I do release something, like a limited batch of prints or objects, it will only ever be shared through the newsletter. There won't be countdown posts or sales pushes on social media. If you want first access to anything I make available, the newsletter is where it happens.

The Newsletter: The Heart of the Studio

The newsletter is the most personal space I have and the one I care about most. It's where I write in depth about what I'm making, what I'm reading, what's shaping the work, and what's happening in my life as an artist. It arrives when I have something real to say rather than on a fixed schedule, so it won't spam your inbox.

Subscribers are the first to hear about events, studio programming, and new projects, and the newsletter is the only place I'll announce limited product releases. If you choose only one way to stay connected, this is the one I'd recommend the most.

Studio Notes: The Blog

Studio Notes is where longer thoughts live in public, like this one. It's for reflections on the practice, essays on process, archive stories, and the occasional practical post. It's open to anyone, and newsletter subscribers often get a more personal version of the same ideas.

Instagram: The Curated Record

Instagram is where the more curated work lives. It's the most composed and intentional of my spaces, with portraits, archive pieces, exhibition announcements, and the studio at its best. If you want to see the work itself with minimal noise, follow here.

Threads: The Unfiltered Studio

Threads is the opposite of Instagram on purpose. Everything there is shot on my phone, in the moment, without polish. It's studio outfits, work tables mid-project, light coming through the windows at CAMi, things that arrive in the mail, and small thoughts from inside the work. If you like seeing how things actually come together, this is your space.

Pinterest: Inspiration and Aesthetics

Pinterest is a curated collection of the visual world around my practice, including studio style, color, texture, references, and the things that inspire the work. It's a good place to wander if you're drawn to the feel of the studio.

TikTok: The Lighter Side

TikTok is where I let myself be playful and less serious. It's spontaneous, a little looser, and a reminder that studio life has humor in it too.

YouTube: Long-Form

YouTube holds longer pieces like films, documentary work, and extended looks at projects and process, for when you want to sit with something for more than a few seconds.

LinkedIn: Professional Work

LinkedIn is my professional space, where I share speaking engagements and my communications practice. If we work together or you're interested, connect there.

Facebook: Events and Community

Facebook is where I share studio events, openings, and programming at CAMi, along with updates for the friends, family, and longtime supporters who have followed my work for years. If you mostly want to know when and where to show up in person, this is the easiest place to keep track.

Choose What Fits You

You don't need to be everywhere. Follow the space that matches what you want from me, whether that's the finished work, the studio in real time, or the deeper conversation. Wherever you land, thank you for being here and for showing up the way this community always has.
